Nothing against fake tan/eyelashes on a night out.. but good lord imagine just wandering around town on a tuesday with enough beige foundation for you and three friends on your face?... While also wearing an outfit that you would catch your death in... do these girls not feel the cold?
I think its the kind of show that makes you feel better about yourself cos I know I've never gone to a night club wearing a bra, short shorts, ugg boots and blue eyeshadow that the 80s would have been proud of like a girl on one episode of the last season! All look better after the make under, in most cases it wouldn't be hard!

So true! I agree with all you have said! The goths etc. don't look as well 'normal' but the jodi marsh wannabes tend to look ten times better. Also they get so surprised when men now want to 'marry' them instead of avoid.

Very often I don't like the "after" - it's 100 times better than the "before", but sometimes they look a bit frumpy. Maybe it's just the clothes though, the hair and the makeup is usually pretty good.

I don't think the goth/cosplay/Central Banker look is *necessarily* just a subculture/choice thing, girls (and guys) in those groups can be equally as pressured to dress/look/be a certain way as the Oranginas.

LOVE this show!! TBH I preferred when Jenny Frost presented it but the new girl is excellent too.

I think the overwhelming thing I noticed about the girls receiving make unders is that they are extremely lacking in self confidence. In the past I would have looked at girls with barely anything on, caked in make up and thought that they had masses of confidence and TBH a bit in love with themselves. In reality it seems that they are hiding behind the makeup and fake tan because they don’t like what’s underneath.

It is a fluffy girly show but I think it has a good message. I hate when they revert back to there former selves though.

I've never heard of this show before. Might be interesting, but I can't get over the ridiculous wig on Jodie on the first clip. It doesn't look natural at all. I bet she was back into her old gear in about five minutes.

I'm a big fan of the natural look and should be massively in favour of this show, but something about it doesn't sit right with me. I'm a feminist and I'm completely pro women making their own choice about what they do with their lives, bodies and appearance, so a woman wearing lots of fake tan, bronzer and eyelashes doesn't really bother me. It's terrible when someone has very little confidence or only dresses in a certain way to attract a man, but surely they aren't the only reason why someone would dress up in body-con dresses with lots of makeup.

I guess my point is to really say that if you want to be able to dress the way you dress and get annoyed if someone would say to you to put on more makeup or try a sexier dress, the reverse also goes. Someone's personal aesthetic, even if it's seen as more natural or flattering, doesn't make it okay to turn around and judge someone else's appearance.
