The strange thing is that it did actually blend in with my natural skintone and dissapeared like i had no foundation on! I was looking hard for a grey cast or if it looked too light but it seemed to be ok i guess.

Although this device takes a picture to match you to the nearest foundation colour, i can see where other people are coming from in saying that it could still get it wrong as there are many skin colours out there and not just 12!

I only whish they had the device matcher like the ones in sephora stores in the US as it actually tells you how much yellow, neutral or pink undertones you have in your skin. So the reading is something like this: 2Y-04. The Y means yellow which means the person is 2 notches over to the warm side. The 04 stands for the skin being the fourth lightest shade. When i asked the NO7 Makeup assistant whether i had any neutral undertones in my skin because of the IVORY shade that was sugggested she had no idea. Thats why i would prefer to know my exact skin undertones which would be measured in a device instead of make up assisants assuming that anyone with yellow skintones fall into the warm category. I have been told in the past that i have a neutral, yellow, warm and olive skintones!! I mean its ridiculous no wonder its hard to find a good foundation match.

Also to those lovely ladies with foundation a smidge too dark – you need to get yizzerselves over to Cloud 10 beauty and buy some Face Atelier zero minus. Greatest. Invention. Ever! I can now use so many of the eleventy million foundations I bought that are half a shade too dark – now that’s magic!

I have checked the foundation in three different lights and it looks amazing. I was sceptical when i seen what this can do. I got matched in Arnotts two weeks ago for the new YSL and she got it completely wrong when I had a chance to look at myself it was too dark she gave me Beige. It was €38 I could of done without wasting on a foundation I cannot wear. So to get a match spot on and only pay €16 to me is saving alot of money. Hopefully the foundation and myself will get on now too!

Could have been when I watched Lisa’s vid and she matched herself but when the result came in she said ‘I was actually …. the last time I did this’, ‘You should have a couple of shades to match you throughout the year’…

The other thing is it does allow for fake tans in that it matches your foundation to that fake tan shade, not your natural skin. You’d have to consistently wear the fake tan for your foundation to match.

I adore Lisa and her work so I wanted to love this. Really I did.
