yup, laura mercier tinted moisturiser- how is this a cult product?!? on what planet?!!??

I thought it would save me time, buts so UNHYDRATING I needed to put on extra moisturiser, AND the coverage is not very good so I had to blend it with some foundation.

ALL in all....HARD HARD work. thank goodness its nearly finished.

However a makeup artist did compliment me on my foundation colour and hubby asked me 'was I not putting on makeup' when it was on... so I guess the mixing has created the perfect colour........

Ah, Pure Abundance. Deceiving. Definitely doesn't work like a dry shampoo, but it's actually an okay product if used like this: pour some into your palm, and rub your palms together. It turns into a pomade-like substance. Then use it to volumize the under layers of your hair - like, tousle your hair with your sticky palms - so you don't get the waxy mess on top. Works better on short hair; I loved it when I was growing out a pixie cut. Too bad it's super expensive for the amount of product!
As for a facial brush: The Body Shop makes a small one for $4 (Canadian). It's not bad.

Oh I love all of these comments about beauty gone wrong! There is noting worse than a product that not only doesn't live up to the hype but just doesn't seem to work or gives bad results. Right now, the only thing I can think of that I really dislike is the Dr. Perricone No Foundation Foundation, I think that's what it's called. I'd go retrieve the bottle, but I'm pretty sure it's been trashed. It's supposed to be for all skin tones and contains a sunscreen. It's too orangey on me and difficult to apply. I don't even want to think how it looks on people who are lighter skinned than I am and I'm pretty fair. Luckily I only had a deluxe sample from Sephora. I know a product is bad when my cosmetologist daughter is more than happy to try to dump her sample on me too!

I also have a real problem with Clinique products. That 3 step skin care nonsense of theirs had my poor skin in bits for a good year and a half in my teens, until I wised up and gave it all to my mother (who then broke out in spots and dry patches!)
I also seem to be the only person on the earth who hated and binned their Cream Shaper eyeliner. It was not creamy or shapely. It pulled, it clumped, it wouldn't blend, and then it wouldn't come off properly, even with almond oil!

I have the Clarins wrinkle-filler stuff and I use it when I am feeling particularly old and wrinkly- it does seem to airbrush some of the fine lines on me. I apply it to my crowsfeet and laugh lines with tiny pats, over my makeup, let it set a bit, then a few more pats into the deep crevices. It balls up if you have powder your face though- before or after- so forget that. It was very expensive so I will try the Monostat anti-chafing stuff next, it's about 300% cheaper and has gotten rave reviews as a primer and wrinkle-filler. It costs under 5$ so I'll try it.

first one that springs to mind was origins brighter by nature moisturiser. it went on me badly, very thick and greasy. no idea if it actually delivers on the brightening bit, cos i stopped using it almost immediately.

purple eyeshadows in general, i've given up on finding The One at this point. they all look savage in the pan but never ever have i got the colour payoff they promised.

kerastase shampoos. have tried a bunch of them and never saw any difference. their treatments are great so it's a shame the rest of the ranges never did anything for me.

this may be contentious - clinique city block. the colour puts me off big time, it balled up on my face. poor showing.

I agree with the LM tinted moisturizer. I find the oil-free version feels heavier and even greasier than the regular version and is too yellow-toned. I have moderately oily skin, but the regular version works much better for me. It's less patchy, a better color, and just a better product (but still stupidly expensive).

I love urban decay eyeshadows, but doesn anyone find their eyes a little stingy after wearing the sparkly shades?
