My mother in law just passed away 3 weeks ago. So i have been thinking about death and what I would have wanted to do in her position etc etc.
For me it’s a big yes! I was in a hospice and I was so amazed by some women still took good care of themselves until the end. Makeup in the morning, get hair done once a week etc (there is a hair salon in the hospice), one woman has her nail done and she is paralysed on the left half of her body. I told my husband I am so going to look great no matter how ill I will be, it’s about dignity all the way! Now problem is I have to die in London area then…

I love illamasqua. Every time they post or release something new I can’t wait to find out more. They’re the most inspirational and innovative brand I can think of. If I had an open casket funeral I’d want people to see me looking glammer than ever. Not really for myself – it’s not for my benefit – but for the sake of those coming to view me. Let me look like me – but better. And as for the price – imagine how much you’d be prepared to spend on your make-up for your wedding day then quadruple it. Think of the artist who has to come on do the job. On a dead stranger.

GEEEEEEZ! It’s the best amazing idea I have heard about lately! AMAZING! I’m going to tell my fiancee about this service, you never know.

I don’t know, I may be more eccentric, or maybe I am too much into looking good always, but I think that if you have the money and means, you should get the best out of your last steps…actually, I think that also if you don’t have the money and means, the family should just give the best representation of your way to be, also with the occasion of such a sad and regretable moment, after all, it’s still you.

I would definitely get this done!! The price is a little steep but I’d prefer to have an absolutely no frills “death ceremony?” (I dont know what a non religious funeral is called) if I could look how I used to when I was alive!

This made me tell everyone that I want a closed casket if I die. To me that’s a total waste of money. You’re dead,what difference does it make?! Madness!

hmm, very expensive, it is a hard one as people want their relatives to look like themselves(yes depite being cold and dead and a strange icy colour) No more than you wouldn’t let a loved one wear a tatty jumper in the coffin. I am from a rural area, and am very used to seeing open coffins, closed coffins are only for severely bad road crashes.
