Thanks a million Lynnie! I had my hen party on Saturday and all the girls gave me little gifts and I just went through them last night and one was a little set of nail art supplies of colours and glitters with the fine point brushes, so I can get started ASAP! (I also got four other nail polish gifts – I think people may have noticed that I’m developing a problem!).

Cait – yay! I get almost all my nail art stuff either on holidays or online. eBay is my number one source for supplies, you can get just about anything your nail-lovin’ heart desires (and cheaply) on there. Born Pretty Store is another good one to try, it’s cheap too, although shipping can be a bit slow, and Look Fantastic have a few bits and bobs but more spendy.

Can I ask where is the best place to get nail art supplies like the things for making dots (the metal thingys with the ball at the end), and the fine line drawing things? Sorry, I don’t know the correct technical names for anything! Just wondering if there is a good online shop, or anywhere in Dublin? I was adamantly staying away from proper nail art because the amount of time I already spend on my nails is ridiculous, but all the fabulous nail art you’ve been showing us over the last while has pushed me over the edge Lynnie – I MUST try it!

Caitríona – they’re not difficult to take off in my experience, I usually just life them off by the edges when I’m done with them. You can also use a cotton bud to channel a little nail polish remover under the sides which will loosen the grip of the adhesive as you take them off.

I’ve never tried these. I’m dressing up as a spider on Saturday night so those ones would be PERFECT! However, how hard are they to take off after? I don’t want cobweb nails in work on tuesday!

Did you use the prep pad to dehydrate the nail before putting them on?
