laura, I’ve finished my ‘wardrobe audit’. So, result is that I’m a spoilt brat with far too many clothes (I really cannot justify buying anything new) and a boring taste in jumpers (2 red, 2 black, 1 dark grey and 4 light grey! 4!) and skirts (5 black, 4 others in colour).
I’m a bit ashamed at the number of clothes I have, although I wear them all, so it’s not that bad. My ideal would be to bring this down to 7/8 outfits per season, but I don’t seem to be able to do that. And I give clothes regularly.

However, it transpires that I have enough scarves to keep a small village warm. Ditto gloves. And hats. So I’ll follow your advice and use them to brighten up my look and rotate them (I tend to keep one for a week, and then use another and so on). I’ve put them in a place where I can see them more easily.

Thanks for the websites, I’ll have a look to pick up ideas.

Heres another who will be plonked on.the couch for evening,have horrible cold,sore throat,couldnt sleep last night. Boo:(
Thefrog- have you tried investing in a few scarves to brighten up your outfits? I wear lots of black& grey,a few scarves can really glam up a plain shirt,or a dress. You Dont have to spend a lot- all the high st stores stock them,tkmaxx is a good bet too. Another idea is to accessorise your dress wit a collar- this is big for A/W, you can buy from the high street too.For online inspiration,try instyle magazine (Tonnes of high-street picks),or style.com( designer clothing,.but i love clicking on the latest collections from the catwalk for ideas.
I’m on the lookout for a new winter coat, must get saving.

Home, showered and lazy clothes on, feeling alot better than earlier or yesterday. Going to hunker down for the evening with some DVDs and chill out. Have a good one ladies

Just popped out to the shop there at lunch and it’s lovely and cold! Can’t wait to get home and get into my snuggly cardi and cozy tights! Wore a dress to work today and managed to forget my jacket so I’m freezint!

Brrr it is chilly out there alright. Thank GOD!!! I know, I know I shouldn’t be wishing to cold on us, but in my defence my small man is ruined with eczema in the “summer” and it clears right up in the cold so bring it on!! Had to put the heat on for a small while last night, I’ve the fire set for the last few days but refuse to light it yet, it’s not quite cold enough yet to be wasting the coal (fecking price of it). Ooh bring on the wooly jumpers, scarves and boots, I love winter, you just better value out of the clothes since you’re wearing them from most of the year.
