Orla, you’re a lovely girl and you deserve to be treated better but you do need to know your own worth and your own value.
Personally I think his last chance should have been weeks ago, if it were me I’d be finding an affordable place to live in with your friend, and start living and loving your life. You are giving what really are the best years of your life waiting and hoping for him to get his act together.
That penny has to drop for you yourself though, only you know how far your tolerance stretches and how much of yourself you are prepared to sacrifice to keep this relationship.
I hope you can Be happy whatever decision you make.

The timing couldn’t have come worse for this new place. I was happy knowing that I had till November to figure out what to do with my life, my job and most importantly my relationship.

I know you’re all going to kill me, but I think I’ve finally realised I can’t sit around waiting for him. He did it again tonight. Said he was going for one drink (invited me-but I said no because if it was only one drink he would be finished before I got there).

One turned into two, with me sitting at home like a fool getting the dinner ready.

Now he says he is on his way home. If only we hadn’t already committed to this house with my friend I think I would be asking him to leave. Whether for a few weeks or for good I don’t know!

Now I feel trapped, my friend and I can’t afford rent on the new place alone. After the 1st she has no place to live so time is running out. I just don’t know what to do. Before London everything was perfect.now we are getting further and further apart and I don’t know how to fix it.

Nothing I say or do seems to make him consider my feelings or me. Its like he is a completely different person now that we are living here.

I miss the old him and the old us. Im terrified to lose him, but even more terrified of getting sucked deeper into this rut.

Im sorry for another huge “poor me” post, I just don’t know where to go from here.

Holly – no way! That’s what I did! Great course, you’ll have an absolute blast! Would love to be back where you are again. I’m actually working from the science library at the moment, taking advantage of the peace and quiet before term starts.

Squishywishy – meant to say earlier hope the procedure went well!

Breige – unfortunately I know how he feels, but honestly these things usually work out for the best. It’ll just take a while for him to get his head around it.
