Thanks very much orla and zsazsa! To be honest I didn’t mind shaving it off, I wanted a change of look and to do something crazy, it just happened to fit together. People’s eyes go out on stalks when I take off my hat and show them haha! Everyone says I look very like sinead o’connor when she was younger. I look older now as well but not in a lines-and-wrinkles line of way but in a can’t-quite-place-it kind of way. I like it When I’ve a final total I’ll stop back and let ye know again! x

@ mummypupper – so sorry to hear that. God I’m having a little weep now thinking of it! We were learning about behaviour etc in college and they really emphasised pointing out to the child the talents they have that others haven’t, eg. If they’re good at art to say, yes you find reading/whatever harder than some little girls/boys but look at how much better you are at art! They can’t do what you can do. I’m sure you probably know all that but maybe you could speak to the teacher about putting her in charge of some ‘special job’ for the play?

Wow Pirateatsea that’s a fair whack that you’ve collected! Well done! You’re very brave to shave it all off. I chopped most of my hair off last friday and from the reactions I got at work you’d think I’d chopped my head off not just from below my bra line to a bob.. I can’t imagine the reactions you got with yours. Fair play to you! x

Hey everyone! Hope all are well!
Karen big congrats to you! I’ve never experienced morning sickness firsthand myself but ginger is brilliant for settling nausea. The sea sickness pills we had onboard the ship couldn’t be given to pregnant ladies so they would be given ginger capsules/tablets instead. Maybe it could be worth a shot?
Some of ye might remember about a week or 2 ago I stopped by and asked for some advice on treating my dry scalp before shaving my head for charity? Well it’s done and dusted! My brother did it as well. My best friend is a hairdresser and did the job for me. I got the local priest to start it off (yeah, the priest! He’s only young, 40s or so and cracked) and raised about €30 by charging a €5 donation to get a go at shaving some of my head. Took about 15 mins to do mine because of the length of it (below my shoulder blades). Considering it’s November and there were a few other things going on around town the pub was about half full but we still raised a lot on the night. My poor head was fried on Sunday counting hundreds of coins but I got there in the end. In total from what I’ve collected so far and what I know of on some cards I’ve yet to get back there is about €1300 collected already with a few more cards to get back to me yet. I’m so happy that so much has been donated, especially when there are so many events happening at the moment.

Thanks Karen & Cece. Yeah he’s ok, he called me earlier and apologised etc and has been texting every now and then to say sorry. I’m just so annoyed. He was being grand for ages and then the first day back at work after a weeks holidays he goes and pulls this crap again. Apparently himself and one of the other lads slept in the office last night because they missed the bus and didn’t want to wait for it.

The sooner he gets a new job the better, the guys he works with are a bad influence on him! And to top it off when he called earlier I couldn’t be angry I was so relieved that he was ok. I’m annoyed now though because I’m wrecked here at work!

Karen I hope you feel better soon.. I hear ginger is good for a sicky tummy.. but I wouldn’t know first hand x
