The site is owned apparently by the guy that invented contact lenses. They are super cheap – its only €11 for a months supply for both eyes. You just select the brand you are currently wearing from a list and it will recommend their own ones that suit.

I used to use Focus Dailies but found them drying – I just select the higher moisture ones from this site. They deliver within about a week and you can just buy one months supply if you like – delivery is included. The packaging is slightly different from normal lenses but once you try these you wont look back. There is a big thread on boards.ie about them – think thats where I originally heard about them.

Lauralou, no way? In Sephora? I don’t understand, I’ve checked the website and none of the Chanel foundation are above 45€! Do you mind telling me which shops you went to, I’d like to carry out my private investigation, they’re not supposed to have a price different from the website! I’m in outraged consumer mode. Name and shame I’d say!

Thefrog- more expensive than ireland. its €44 for chanel/armani foundation, it was €50ish over there. MAC was around the same price too.

we were guilty of eating right beside the monuments prob why it was so expensive.

Found a gorgeous french restaurant near ponts des arts. really loved it there.

Might pop over to mac in grafton st to see if they know anything

Oh sorry Chloe! I’m the same, I’ve got a few bottles of blue dye but can’t work up the courage to dip dye the ends of my hair (mainly because I know they won’t approve at work!)

LD- I’m going to try. Going to get out all my holiday clothes this week and go through them try and get myself in the mood. If the bikini diet was going better might feel better about it.
Eating healthy and pilates, running 30mins x 3 per week and still putting on lbs. Dis-as-ter.

Lauraloo, not sure about Dublin but I know they are hiring in Galway. There were two interviews, one in Galway, one in Cork (with a model). They have a training week in Dublin at the moment.

@lynnieDoll… Ladybirds are the youngest group of Girlguides, aged 5 – 7 yrs. I am a leader for them and have to dream up interesting things for them to do for an hour once a week. Its good fun, but I need a glass of wine at the end of the night

@LauraLou: oups, babies. Yep, it is still considered acceptable to stare and mutters at parents who cannot keep their children quiet. I’m guilty of that too (for children old enough to speak, not the young ones, I’m not a complete monster).
Chanel and Dior more expensive? Than in Ireland you mean? Or just more expensive than you thought they would be?
Food, yes, that’s true. As I told you, 30€ for a 2-course meal is considered good value, and sometimes you don’t get much quality for that. And some areas are awfully expensive.
