Hi, I just went through and voted in each category, I expected to have to leave my e-mail address or something at the end but it just seemed to come to an abrupt end after voting on best overall brand? was there more to it?!

Is anyone else having problems voting after the hair tools sections? I can see all the choices but can’t select anything

Thanks Aisling, I was stumped in that category! It was great fun filling in the poll, can’t wait to see the results.

It’s also funny what fickle creatures we Beauts are. I imagine if you compared the shortlists from previous years we hardly talk about the majority of items on it any more.

Alas gravy tan and ketchup blush didn’t make it but the Rampant Rabbit is doing VERY well in the body tools category!

Miffy – yes it’s a hard one to call! The awards process is a fluid one – it probably makes more sense to vote for brands rather than shades in the eyeshadow category, we did realise that and we’re changing the poll to reflect that!

I’m in the middle of voting now. Can I please make a suggestion for next time round? It is very confusing (and the reason I did not vote in the first round) – are we to nominate for a specific colour or a generic description?

For example I am now in the eyeshadow section. MAC Hoodwinked is up against the Inglot Freedom System. It does not make sense having one shadow shade in a section with a generic shadow type. Apples vs oranges if you will.

Anyway, sorry for the gripe, I always love this time of year but I feel it would be fairer and easier if the categories were clearer. e.g. Vote for your favorite blush brand vs favorite blush brand AND colour.
