I find that women don’t really tell as many jokes and are just more funny in general conversation. I just laugh more when I’m around girls.

Some of the funniest skits on Saturday Night Live are lead by women. You might think that in a industry that is – let’s face it – dominated by males, SNL would too be dominated by men but even though the majority of the main and featured players are male, I personally think it is one of the best examples of women being “allowed” (not to sound derogatory) to indulge in the same humour as men. Kristen Wiig (my absolute girl crush) and Vanessa Bayer are freaking hilarious!!
Speaking of Saturday Night Live, try and find Maya Rudolph’s impersonation of Beyonce from back in February/March (not on YouTube but worth searching for). It is priceless.

Adore Sarah Millican too. She just makes me cry with laughter every time she opens her mouth.

I hate the stereotype that women stand-ups have. There’s an episode of the Simpsons where they go to a comedy club. There’s a female stand-up on who starts talking about her period and Marge nearly chokes on her drink.

Deirdre O’Kane kills me regularly. She had a spot a few years ago on Just For Laughs that they showed regularly.
Pauline McLynn cracks me up. She was excellent on the Panel. Mairead Farrell was pretty good on that too come to think of it.

I agree all women are funny, just reading all of your comments on a daily basis makes me laugh! I like Chelsea Handler, Kathy Griffin, Joy Behar, Ellen DeGeneres oh and Sarah Palin–she’s such a comedian!
