Hair is fixed, woo hoo! I am now a dark brown all over with some highlights underneath my layers. Could not be happier If you’re looking for a hairdresser in Cork I highly recommend 3 Degrees. I am never ever going anywhere else again.

My hair does this naturally. It always has done. Blonde at the bottom, reddish brown up top!

I went clutching my photos & asking for balyage/ ombre hair the last time I went to the hairdressers – what I got was a load of highlights on the underneath of my hair. The hairdresser told me that this was how I’d get the effect, of course it doesn’t look anything like it! I should have been more vocal at the time because I knew as soon as I saw it that it wasn’t what I wanted. Unfortunately I’m a wuss who hates complaining so I’m stuck with my upside down highlights for the last few months. Still debating whether to just leave it or make one more attempt at getting the real effect. I did have it once before when I just let my highlights grow out & I got lots of compliments so I know it would suit.

Love her style, but am not sure if her hair would work for me as mine is -currently! – a peppery red and would take a LOT of work.

Ah well, maybe when it gets back to its normal mousey brown and grey, I can consider it!

The ombre fad has made growing out my blonde highlights a dream!! I love the way your ombre has turned out, such nice gradual color!

Have medium length brunette hair and have never dyed it. Seriously considering the ombré but my hair is damaged and dry. Opinions?? Thanks ladies

I’ve medium red hair – that’s coloured from medium brown – and I got the ombre done in March. I really love it I’m managing to maintain my roots with a home colour that’s blending well, and the blonde tips are still looking pretty nice I think. I just condition it really well because it can get dry, my hair is now mid-back length. Just be careful to match the tone of the blonde to the red.

I love it mainly because I got highlights for years then when the recession hit they became less and less and it was quite annoying going around with mousy blonde hair and basically white hair especially with it being a major no!
Now that its the ‘hip new thing to do’ I am very much a fan as I can go around with out worrying about forking out a small fortune that my back account has not seen over the past three years.

Just wondering if anyone has tried ombre with anything other than brunette as the main colour? I’m a med-dark red.. have been toying with the idea of doing ombre with my colour to blonde but a bit spooked so far…I love the ombre look all round though, have my talented little sister sorting out a few dresses and tops with the hand-dye at the moment!

I have light brown hair (mousy!) and in an effort to brighten it up I had blonde highlights put in last summer. They looked natural enough that even when they started to grow out I got away with being lazy and not retouching the roots (it helped that my go-to style for school was half my hair pulled back off my face) and I’ve had ombre locks since Christmas

I especially like it because there’s no set line where the blonde begins – it’s completely blended throughout the bottom and mid sections. Who would have guessed sheer laziness would pay off?
