Great tips, my mouth is normally like the inside of Tommy Bowe's shorts so I will brave a trip to Lush for those tabs. I was on a big girlie w/end in Galway with my mates a few years ago and they made Hangover Cure cocktails (looked gross but really worked)

Each cocktail had

2 disprin soluble
1 dioralyte
1 Berocca
1 pint of water

We all drank them and by god they worked. I only get the occasional hangover but water and vitamins usually sort me out. Now to find the cure for the flashbacks.......

I don't drink any more but my hangover tips are still the same. The only difference is that they are not caused by I-drank-all-the-alcohol-in-the-world-last-night but by I'm-too-old-for-this-sh!t-and-i-was-supposed-to-sleep-4-hours-ago syndrome.

Do NOT drink coffee although you crave it

Drink fresh juice first thing in the morning (I find apple juice the most helpful). And yes it can be a bit nauseating.

Breakfast: Omlette with a not-so-fatty cheese

I always shower after breakfast on a morning of an hangover. It helps me not to puke. And I have a good scrub all over: face, body, lips, file my feet after a night of high heels.

After the shower, I apply my regular face moisturiser at the time in a thick layer as a mask. My skin usually drinks it all up because of the crazy dryness. Don't forget to moisturise your body.

After the shower routine, I have my big glass of water with the water soluble tablet. And I cannot recommend enough Boots Re-Balance /Re-Energize Boost tablets. Seriously, go and buy this baby. It is my current favourite and works like a charm.

I continue drinking lots of water throughout the day while I watch my favourite TV shows and/or movies (if I'm lucky to not to work that day).

Lorrrrrraine- another brilliant post. You's a funny lady. My cure is club lemon with lots of ice, salt and vinegar crisps, tea, water, coffee and scrambled eggs, ayran(yoghurt, milk and salt from the Middle East) and occasionally a hair of the rabid dog that bit me. Dioralyte sounds much more sensible though.

Two words: milk.thistle. This thing has changed my life (don't drink much but am prone to hellish hangovers too). Just take a couple of capsules/drops before you have a drink and the next morning, and it's like nothing ever happened!

And it's much more gentle on your stomach than the pills/alcohol combo.

When I was in my mid 20's I drank too much wine as it was new to me. After a few shocking headaches decided to stick to lager. I'm in my 40's now and am still a lager head.

My hangovers (few enough) are me being very very tired so crap tv, sofa, hot tea are my cure. A walk does help but I find it hard to get force myself out the door.
