Foundation category winners are spot on! I like them all, except 2nd place. Winner (Bourjois Healthy Mix) and the 3rd place (YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat) are two of my all time favourites.

I think I’m gonna try Benefit They’re Real. And get the UD Naked palette. Since its launch, I was never sure if it was worth the money but maybe I can treat myself for Christmas.

Thanks beaut.ie! I think this is terrific.

  • JLo says:

Terrific. Glad to see so many of my faves up there. Supposed by the order of some of the results though.

Are there no best brush brand or best eyeliner categories this year?

Dying to see the other categories!

  • LauraLou says:

Ah the good aul reliables win again!

I think Inglot shadows far surpass the UD naked palette but that’s just preference :)

  • JLo says:

Meant to say surprised by the order! I love healthy mix foundation but didn’t expect it to be voted #1!

  • ~Thalia~ says:

Yay! Delighted to see Healthy mix wins. LOVE it :)

Nice to see a good mix of high end and budget products too, proof that you don’t always have to be spendy to get a fantastic product :)

  • Rosamaria says:

Very interesting! Bourjois are coming up in a lot of categories, but one I rate them for, mascara – nowhere. Still, I would imagine that’s a highly competitive category.

Since I don’t use Mac, I will constantly be surprised by how well they do :)

  • littlesis says:

Woohoo! Love reading this. I love Bourjois Healthy Mix and YSL Touche Eclat foundation so delighted to see they did well. I have yet to buy the UD Naked Palette, this might just tip me over the edge :D

  • LoCo says:

Most of my favourites are in the top 3 of most categories. Nice mix of high end and chemist brands. But in the concealer category 2-5 are great picks but YSL Touche Eclat is not a concealer really it’s a highlighter! No?

  • Christabelle says:

Glad to see UD Naked Palette won eyeshadows. I actually am in love with it. Got it for Christmas last year, used it every day since and have barely made a dent in it.

I love all the shades. Got Naked 2 and am hoarding it at the minute as I don’t want to open it and start using it as its so pretty :)

  • Andrea says:

Am loving most of the winners but I have to say I’m most surprised by Healthy Mix winning the best foundation. I’ll have to dig it out and start using it again to see if I was missing out all this time :D
And must try a sample of the Ysl fdt as well…

  • Nicola C says:

Thanks beaut.ie. Agree with healthy mix and ysl foudations. Suprised the Collection 2000 concealer didn’t make the top 5 though.

  • Laura says:

Thanks beaut.ie! Delighted healthy mix won,the stuff is fab,its my go-to Foundation for everyday wear. Love ud naked Palette, find myself using it pretty much every day,now i want naked2 & smoked.
I need a Mac mineralise skinfinish in my life! The new Glamour daze collection being released soon has a skinfinish called whisper of guilt that i cannot wait to get my paws on!
Suprised Mac won lipstick category, maybe i dont own enough of them.
Looking forward to seeing the rest of the results!

  • Corrie says:

Yay, delighted to see that I own nearly all the 1st place winners! None of my face foundations made top 5 though, are Healthy Mix and YSL more suited to dry skin? I on the oily side so not sure if they’d suit me, otherwise I’d be out buying them too!

  • BerG says:

Love the beauty awards, and agree with the majority of category winners. One or two new items on my Wish list after perusing them.

Gracie: I recently got a four palette eyeshadow tin from Urban Decay. It comes with an amazing sparkly eyeshadow and the quad pad for just ¢17, I got it from debenhams.ie. I have my four favourites in it for everyday and am loving it. It may be another option instead of getting the Naked palette.

  • Aisling *Aisling* says:

Healthy Mix was a surprise winner alright – but it won by a “healthy” majority.

Rimmel “Wake me Up” foundation missed the top five by ONE vote. It would have been good to see another low price winner in the foundation category – but there you go.

LoCo – the YSL concealer/highlighter is a neverending debate. It’s both really, and if you have a look it did really well in both categories.

The Naked Palette got thousands of votes – it was unbelievable

  • ladyelvis says:

Vedddy intavesting! Wondering why so few of my staples are mentioned, but I reckon it’s because I do use some very pricey and cult or unusual brands that aren’t that popular, like Kevyn Aucoin. Need to get trying some budget stuff too now methinks. Very happy to see Vichy Dermablend concealer in there. And in the market for a new pressed powder, so I shall hasten to MAC for the mineralise skinfinish post haste!

  • Eimear says:

I love that a few of my faves made it, Rimmel brow pencil and Maybelline Falsies mascara are cheap as chips but they’re fantastic products! A lot of the winners are a bit out of my reach price wise. I never understood the Mac lipstick hype, the majority of their lippies are matte so quite drying…much prefer a nice moisturising lippie from Rimmel. Must check out the Catrice powder!

  • Nina says:

    I love this great!
