I can’t stop looking at the close up of the Dior shot above, whatever about filing your nails into ovals the fake ones she has on are so obviously fake…I’m really surprised that they used these in their ad campaign. I think it looks really cheap!!

Karen – I’m the exact same, they creep me out! Can’t explain it. I’m like that with long nails in general though so I guess it’s just personal taste. Long talons just seem very old-fashioned to me, I’m always surprised when I see the likes of Rihanna or Adele with them.

Oh, I think I prefer the squoval myself. I find the oval a bit scary (or maybe I’m just not used to it anymore). I shouldn’t really comment on this as my nails have no shape at all and I’ve never in my life had them done professionaly… Some day I will though!

Ah, this reminds me of my teens, when I had the witchiest nails going. I’ve a longish nail bed on most of my fingers so I can get away with square but I’d try this out again for the laugh – provided I didn’t have a whole lot of typing or housework to do!

Don’t like oval nails at all, they give me the heeby jeebys for some reason, can’t explain why. I like the rounded off tips thanks v much. When Illamaqua came out with those pointed nail quills, I had goosepimplies at the thought of them. It’s rounded or nothing for me!

Anyone notice Adele’s pointy nails at the VMA awards last night? She uses her hands quite a bit as she sings and it was quite distracting – a bit ‘witchy’ I thought – for her anyway cos she’s lovely. Sharp and pointy talons!
