Right so! Continuing my slightly haphazard run-down of swatches of this season’s shadow shades, here’s the next installment courtesy of Shiseido. We’ve checked out the spring/summer lineup and this here is the Luminizing Satin Eye Colour Trio in Blondes. It’s one of three new shadow kits for the season, the price is €39 and it’ll launch on February 21st. Each trio features three beautifully creamy shadows in one of the brand’s signature lacquered-alike compacts.
Blondes is a good description for this as it happens: the shades are warm, golden and shimmery. I think this is one I’d shy away from being a bit on the blue side of things, but a sallower skintone would get along really well with these. They would really pop on a black skin too I think, particularly the middle shade.
Application on these shadows is good – I often use the trio in Fire from the original launch of these palettes and the colour payoff is good plus blendability and longevity are also great. Basically, these are just very reliable products to have and not badly priced at all either, considering Shiseido’s luxury positioning. You effectively pay €13 per colour, and that’s all right by me.
What do you reckon? Interested in checking ‘em out?
