I have the core and the face - the purple and the bronze ones.

They are well made and easy to use. I think the problem is not so much badly made, rather badly named.

I have found uses for all of them (have pretty much replaced my mac ones) but not really in the way they were intended. I use that oversized crease brush for concealer!

i own the Core Collection set and the blush brush. i LOVE them. I own a lot of MAC brushes. I kind of like these face brushes better. I don't have the eye ones since I love my MAC. now i have to be honest and say i dont use them for what they are labeled. i use the pointed foundation brush for concealer.. love. i use the buffer brush for buffing. i love the tiny concealer brush for more precision. the contour brush is so tiny i dont use it for that purpose. i set all my concealer with that. i reach for them often because they never shed. i just really really love the blush brush. i've used it for setting powder, bronzer, blush.. anything powder. i need a few extras. for the price u can't beat it. plus the face brushes are really soft. thats just my opinion. i won't buy the eye ones just because i've very happy with the brushes i use on my eyes now.

I have actually never watched a Pixiwoo video so don't really have any expectations either way but from the pics I think the brushes look a bit cheap. I'd like to hear more about the stippling one though as although you can't beat the finish, I am sick to the back teeth with my MAC 187 STILL shedding when I use it; I must have it about 3 years now. The only substitute I've ever heard good things about is the Jemma Kidd one which I think is discontinued.

I got the Core collection and the "dual fibre" stippling brush, they're... ngyrrehhhhh... ok. Not bad, not great. The pointed foundation brush is too small to be useful really, the stippling brush and the buffing brush are much of a muchness, the tiny detailer brush is "handy" but not "necessary". I thought that the best of all of them was the contour brush, but tbh even that wouldn't be one I'd jump to (but it's a cheaper alternative than the MAC 130 (bigger) or 165 (smaller, LE). The bristles are nice and soft, ok, they do wash well, ok, some of the bigger ones stand on the table, ok that can be handy. The best thing I found about the sets was actually the "free" case; now, that's very very handy for travelling. I wouldn't rush to get any more of them, but I don't hate them, but I don't really use them much either...

I like somethings about these brushes...I think the handles are beautiful and the kabuki brush opens up which is a great idea. I like that they can stand on their own and also that the case that the sets come in can stand up too for easy access. What I don't like is that there isn't more of a selection of brushes that can be bought individually and also that they are only available online and not available in the likes of boots (but maybe that will change)

missy - what size is the stippling brush in comparision to the mac ones? I love stippling brushes!

I also love to use mac's 224 brush for under eye concealer since seeing one of pixiwoo's videos!

Kirstie - maybe the large crease brush could be used to blend all your shadow after applying it. A mua used this technique when doing my eye make up for a real flawless finish...like applying powder over your face when you have done your blush, contour etc for a real seamless finish but instead using this technique on the eyes. Mac do a really large fluffy eye brush (i think the 227) for this purpose and it's been on my wishlist for ages....

Cute colour but ... and wow if that large brush is as big as the 224 then that's a bit mental, like SJP's Missing Mole I've never used my 224 for eyeshadow (not sure why I bought it??) I always use it for buffing in HD powder around my eyes and nose, it's nice and soft for that.
