Can MAC change my mind about cleansing wipes?

wipes

Recently, I found myself on the horns of a make-up removal dilemma. Cleansing wipes are the handiwork of Satan himself, but I've lately been committing the cardinal beauty sin of not taking off my make-up before hitting the sack.

Yeah, yeah. I'm a bad beauty blogger.

In a moment of weakness a few weeks ago, rather than simply commit to going to bed before I get too knackered to bother with a proper cleanse I opted for a starter pack of 30 MAC cleansing wipes, (€29 for 100), and they promptly took up residence on my bedside locker. Giving my mush a swipe with a wipe on the nights I just can't quite make it to bed pre-2am seemed like the lesser of two evils compared to sleeping in day old make-up. And really, there are only so many times I can pretend to be testing a product for XTREME longevity.

Anyway, the MAC wipes are saturated with MAC cleanser, which is apparently infused with protective vitamin E to quickly swipe away even the most long-wearing make-up, smudges, dirt and grime while keeping skin hydrated and nourished. They sound positively angelic on paper and were actually very effective at removing foundation, blusher, and bronzer, but they stung my peepers like bejaysus when it came to doing away with my eye make-up and also left my skin feeling tight after use.

Pass.
