Last Saturday, Beaut.ie reader SLH asked on the Blather, "how do you get the make up off a Doll’s World head? I’ve just tried tissues and hot soapy water as they recommend on the packet but there are big streaks of red make up all over the dolls face. I resorted to a bit of Mr Muscle, but that didn’t do any good either."
I suggested she give a bit of baby oil a whirl, working on the whole oil-attracts-oil thing. But it also got me thinking about the bright nail polish I dropped on my favourite studded black jumper and those grubby foundation smears down a much-loved top that refuse to come out, even several washes later.
So, this post is where we all come over a bit Mrs Beaton (not literally) and give our tips for getting stubborn beauty gubbins out of clothes and off leather, upholstery and furniture.
