Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner and Eyeshadow Pencils for AW11

By Beaut.ie | August 18 2011 | 24 Comments

Hands up who absolutely totally definitely amazingly loved Avon’s Supershock Gel Eyeliner in Black?

So that’s why I wrote this blog post to inform myself (and you) of some new additions to the Supershock range. Quick recap: the Supershock Liner is fuppin’ brilliant. It’s a gel liner in pencil form which you can pare, which flicks on like a dream and then sets and stays put until you sandblast it back off. We fell hard for its ways and so did lots of you.

Happily, it’s now being joined by a pot version for €8 (there’s a brush for €5 too) in Flashy Brown, Blackened Metal and Shimmering Sapphire (above). You’ll need to hang on a while for these as they’re not available until October 6th.

And that’s not all: there are also three double-ended Eyeshadow Pencils for €9. They’re landing on September 15th and will come in Princess Pink and Royal Velvet, Moonshine and Starry Night plus Chocolate Melt and Cream Dream. Complimentary shades can be used for shading and definition and have a smooth, creamy formulation that’s blendable.

Supershock Gel Liner in Black makes a reappearance as does a silver version, which sounds like it could be fun. These are really affordable at €7.50 each and you’ll be able to bag ‘em from September 15th again. Avon also recently launched a Supershock mascara, €13, which I’ve yet to commit to a proper test – have you tried it, and will you pick up any of these new Supershock goodies when they’re available in the catalogue? Let us know in a comment!

They haven’t had the supershock eyeliner in their catalogue for a while now and I was awfully disappointed that I didn’t get it while it was available…until going through my eyeliner stash one night I discovered I did have it, in Plum!!! Very pleased with myself :-) Will definitely be getting one of the double ended shadows and possibly the silver liner!! I have a black gel eyeliner that I got from Avon a couple of Christmasses ago…love it and I got the eyeliner brush, its fab!!

  • Oh I defo will be getting some I love Avon bits n pieces :) I do wish they had a shop tho !!! :( xxx

  • Aine says:

OMG, I definitely want all of these. Woohoo!

  • RiRi says:

I have been using Avon products from the last 6 months, I must say whatever I have ordered it has never dissappointed me. I have super shock mascara and I am in love with it.

  • These look gorge, must investigate further!

  • Fifibelle says:

Have no Avon products in my stash at all, but am having a moment with gel eyeliners at the moment, love the look of the Sapphire one!!

  • Princess Lisa says:

how do you get an Avon catalogue?

  • Kirstie says:

Princesss Lisa – visit the avon.ie site and fill this out:

  • Ooh, me likey. Must check them out when they launch.

I love the Super Shock eyeliner, definitely worth a purchase. If that is anything to go by I’d say the gel eyeliners would be a good purchase.

Avon are definitely on to something good with the Supershock line – I got a few pencils back when they were on offer (about 4 yoyos!) so hopefully they’ll have an introductory offer on these new additions as well (fingers, toes and everything crossable crossed!)
I have the Supershock mascara – humogous brush that I do manage to make my eyes water with some mornings…. but god, it’s soooo good :)

  • RiRi says:

Michelle, I have poked myself in the eye so many times with the massive brush :-)

I really want to try the supershock gel eyeliner, I just don’t want to have to sign up for the catalogue. My mum used to get delivered one in the past, and often felt obliged to buy something because they were hand delivered and collected even when she didn’t want them anymore.

  • These look really great. I haven’t tried much from Avon but might give these a try

  • Fee says:

I do like the sound of the pencil version but I just couldn’t be bothered with the catalogue rigmarole tbh. I wish you could just buy online. One of the girls in my work used to do it years ago so that wsa convenient, but I did find I would often end up buying extra stuff I didn’t need to get offers etc. It was just so tempting because the stuff seemed cheap but it all added up!

  • Michelle says:

@RiRi Thanks god I’m not the only one haha!! The one bit of makeup I reckon I can actually apply properly is mascara so I felt a bit of clutz jabbing my eye with the supershock brush every so often!!!

@Fee I’m sure you can buy avon online in ireland but it’s a €2.95 (or thereabouts) delivery charge. I haven’t tried it out though.

We get the catalogue delivered to work – I know when these gems come out I’ll be on baked beans on toast for a couple of weeks!!

  • candi says:

TheMakeupGal – I would be definitely interested!

  • Admin says:

Sorry guys, we can’t allow any advertising in the comments

  • Fee says:

Me too – €1 postage would be very reasonable!

Michelle – actually I googled Avon to get a look at the liners just there and there is a website http://www.avonshoponline.ie. They only do the Supershock mascara though, not the liners. That’s a bit odd.

  • sweetasemer says:

I got two liners (for fear they’d be discontinued) from my Avon lady, but had to ask for them as they weren’t in book…got the mascara too, its awful unfortunately, like Bad Gal but worse!
