The bizarro world of Stephen Fry: women hate sex. We poll your reaction

In a magazine interview last week Stephen Fry made the dramatic announcement that women actually hate sex. Sex, he posited, is something which women endure only to 'get' a man. if they actually liked it they'd be off getting it whenever and however they could. Straight men he reckoned are seen as disgusting by women

King of the Twitterverse and all round brainiac, Stephen Fry is more used to his genteel humour and intelligence being applauded, nay worshiped. So when a newspaper article took umbrage and contested these views, he was shocked by the reaction. Finding out about the article he instantly twittered:

And then:

So some fucking paper misquotes a humorous interview I gave, which itself misquoted me and now I'm the Antichrist. I give up. via Twitter for iPhone

Poor old Stephen Fry. He most likely was only messing and has been quoted out of context. But what do you think - has he set back the Sexual Revolution by centuries or was he - gasp - speaking the truth?

I'm waiting for a quote from Sex And The City's Samantha. That was some pretty good acting she was doing if he's right.
