Maybelline SuperStay 24 hour foundation: Surprisingly excellent

Finishing my trusty bottle of Mac Studio Fix I was looking around for a new foundation.  We're constantly looking for new foundations on Beaut.ie - check this out to see some of the ones you're rating at the moment.

You see I like decent coverage that's not cakey, that doesn't rub off too easily and won't make my dry skin look like the Sahara. And it can be difficult to fulfil all these criteria with a budget foundation.  Check out this post: Best for day with medium coverage to see some good picks

The "science" for Maybelline SuperStay 24 hour foundation slid past me - all the "micro flex stretch formula" and other guff is wasted on the likes of me. I want to try it out and simply see if it does the job.

And it does, I'm very pleased to report. Covers well, good finish and good colour. Not transfer resistant though - I wish makeup would stop making that stupid claim. Nothing can be transfer resistant unless it's paint.

And although long lastingness is also a tiresome claim at the moment, with products claiming to last until practically the next week, this does actually live up to its 24 hour claims. I'm ashamed to admit that I went to bed really late one night, too tired to take my makeup off - so I can vouch for the fact that it was still there in the morning.

Buy this in any chemist or from Redroom.ie for €9.98, available in eight shades. Normal RRP down the shops is €13.99!
