Lancome’s Genifique launch was one of the biggest success stories for the brand in recent years. I’ve used the original serum and really liked it – very lightweight, it adds no load to your daily routine, works well with other products and most importantly, I felt it actually worked.

Aphrodite similarly loved Genifique Nuit and of course Lancome is building on its successes with another addition to the line, all of which contain the results of mind-boggling research into genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics. No, I don’t know what they are either.

Genifique Nutrics is the forthcoming dry-skin day cream solution and I perked up when I got the parcel from the press office. There is already a day cream in the lineup but its gel-cream ways didn’t prove to be enough for my skin – if you’re normal to combo, then give it a whirl.  This newbie, Genifuque Nutrics, is a  buttery concoction that’s designed for Saharan complexions and those who’re seeing their skin age and who need a richer product. Me, in other words!

I’ll be trialling this over the next few weeks and will give a full report after Christmas. In the meantime, here’s the price and launch date info: Génifique Nutrics will start at €35 for 30ml, going up to €55 for a 50ml pot and will land on Lancome counters from 9th January 2011.
