Tesco make signage blunder. Country of Poland now synonymous with Mr Sheen.

In his local Tesco, Beaut.ie Dad made a strange discovery.

He'd just been topping up his Irish language skills at an evening class, so he was pleased to see the bilingual efforts Tesco have made translating their signs above the aisles into Irish.

But in the section containing Polish foodstuffs someone didn't understand how to use their dictionary properly and a bit of a blunder had been made. The word 'Polish' (as in the country) has been translated into the Irish word for 'polish' (as in Mr Sheen).

Instead of the Gaelic word for Polish the sign reads Snasán (The Gaelic for furniture polish).

No Gaelgoir prizes for Tesco so.

Jaysus you wouldn't believe it if it was made up.
