There’s really nothing nicer than bagging a cute little beauty goodie you haven’t seen anywhere else. Enter Blond Amsterdam, which I spotted at the Arnotts Project, a store that’s aimed at 20-35 year olds. Pretty much stocked for that audience, think lots of cute labels, an Urban Outfitters-esque homewear floor plus well chosen accessories and shoes. Oh, and that beauty hall, too.
Blond Amsterdam fits in perfectly. It’s a bit like a home and beauty accessories Friis and Company, and while a lot of it is very cutesey, 30-somethings (me) will avoid the bits that are very obviously Juicy Couture-inspired (eeeww) and aim for the Anya Hindmarch-alike cosmetic bags instead. These are just gorgeous – you can see one above – and I want one NOW.
The other bits and bobs like cute soaps, showercaps and candles will make great little added extras for birthday pressies. Or of course, any self-gifting opportunities you may find necessary.
