Reasons to get a pedicure: one, two, three

I’m shamelessly advocating this treatment today. Why? Because I realised that I need to take my trotters off to get poifected asap. Getting a pedicure is such a feel good treat – and here’s my reasons to book yourself in for that pedicure:

  1. Your feet will not only look gorgeous – they’ll feel fab too. Total transformation, I promise you.
  2. Your piggies will be painted a gorgeous chip proof colour and look fantastic in sandals.
  3. Trained hands will basically give you a foot rub for ages, scrub away dead skin, file any yellow bits, clip your toenails and rub footbalm into your heels.

If you’re like me you’ll never have the patience to file, pumice, scrub, rub and painstakingly paint to professional standards.

This is a fab indulgence and if you’ve never had a pedicure before treat yourself soon. Even if it’s not strictly sandal weather it’s the nicest treatment – and lasts for weeks and weeks.

Ooooh I’d love a pedicure, must try and organise one. The last one I had done was absolutely brilliant, the polish was basically indestructible and looked as good the day I took it off (looooong afterwards) as the day I’d had it done.

Pedicures are the only beauty treat I regularly have – try to have one a month. Can’t recommend Mink in Ballsbridge highly enough. But the best one I ever had was in Croatia in this random salon. My feet were so soft and lovely!

The first time I ever got one done I remember looking at my tootsies and thinking they looked gorgeous – for the first time ever!

I friggin LOVE pedicures. Had one amazing and one awful one in Thailand. Have yet to have one here – is there anywhere in the city centre that do pedicures. Nue Blue Eriu?

i have really tickly feet . . . i’m honestly afraid i’ll kick the beautician. DOes it tickle?

  • Lynnie Lynnie says:

I didn’t think so Towny, they’re massaging and firmly rubbing your feet rather than just tickling them (for want of a better word but you know what I mean!) so I’d say you should be alright unless you really can’t take anyone even touching them.

I have this image in my head now of you in a pedicure throne with the beautician sitting there doing the tootsies while kitted out like an ice hockey goalie to protect from flying feet :D

I’ve kicked the beautician! When they press a certain reflex in my foot I just can’t help it!

essentials on baggot street are great for pedicures.

Love love Mink in Ballsbridge – and going on Friday.. cant wait!

  • Lynnie Lynnie says:

Oh Jenknee, have you ever been to that Nahm place? Or do you reckon that Essentials is the best place to go (generally) in the area?
