I Love L.U.C.I

A word in your shell-like gals - check these pretty shadows out. Not *hugely* new, Light Colour In Motion Duo Shadows have been on counter a while now, and are part of Lancome's Spring/Summer collection. As we were having such feckin' miserable weather, I left off writing about them for a while, but as it's now approaching mid-March, lets hope some bright skies will soon be in sight.

Presented in a chunky, futuristic shell compact, the three shades available (blue, green and apricot) are part of Gucci Westmans's last seasonal collection for the brand. Shame - I liked her fun and quirky products. But this is a lady who did the makeup on films like Vincent Gallo's Buffalo 66, so I guess she likes to stretch herself and do new things. She's quite right, of course, and she's left us with some fun things to play with.

On first glance, the shadows seem like, well, eyeshadows. Albeit ones in pretty packaging. But investigate further, and something interesting emerges. Each comes with a white shadow shade, which, when applied over the coloured one, transforms it. You get multi-dimensional iridescent effects, and they look particularly stunning on darker skin tones, too.
