Get the glow with Vichy

I'm not a fan of self-tan at all and generally prefer to just embrace the pale. However, I have a summer wedding coming up and in a climate where I won't be able to rely on covering up the pins with tights, so when I saw Vichy Lipidiose Nutri-Sun recommended in the Image Beauty Awards, I decided to give it a try.

Vichy gave this the rather grand-sounding title of "Gradual Glow Enhancer Hydrating Body Milk", which is a fancy way of saying it's a body moisturiser with a wee bit of self-tan thrown in for good measure. This concept suits me more than self-tanning products, as I only want a subtle hint of colour and not an out and out tan. And it works! It advises applying every day, but I used it every second day for a few days and it built up a nice level of colour, which was a nice subtle golden shade, and not too yellow or orange. I don't look obviously tanned, but then I never tan naturally either, so it suits my skintone.

The finish is great too, with no streaks or patchiness - I do tend to run a cotton pad dampened with water around the edges of my feet and the tops of my legs to tidy up the edges when I finish applying it, but the colour is subtle, so there's no obvious divide between the skin that's been "glow-enhanced" and not. There's no tell-tale fake tan smell from this either, just the fragrance of the lotion, which is indeed nicely moisturising, so no extra moisturiser needed.
