Ask & You Shall Recieve: Where to Buy a Train Case?

Rachel tells us "I'm a make-up whore and my make up bag is bursting at the seams!" - sounds like a familiar tale! "I'm looking for a small-ish, light portable train case along the lines of the vinyl one Stila used to have on their website", she tells us. Sadly, it's been discontinued, so she's looking for other suggestions for lightweight, portable cases.

Face2 have a fab pink one, for €45. I'm not sure what precise size it is, or what it may weigh, but hey, it's pink! Buy from Face2 at Make Up Forever, 40 Clarendon Street, Dublin 2.

If that doesn't suit, M&S are usually pretty good for makeup bags and luggage options. I like the look of this one - not a train case as such, it's a nice solid looking vinyl zipped case that's fully lined to prevent spills in transit. It'll cost you about €30, and comes in red and black too, if cream isn't your thing.

You could spend a fortune on a pro case, but the other thing I know some people use instead of a dedicated makeup case is a tool box. Take a stroll into your nearest Woodies or B&Q and see if anything takes your fancy. Aside from the fact they do look kinda ugly, tool boxes are perfect for makeup because they're so compartmentalised and provide really easy access. If you're not so bothered about looks, then you'll get a good storage option for cheap. This one from B&Q costs about €23 and will give you room to expand - and sure who wouldn't be suckered by the prospect of buying yet more slap, eh?
